GIFFIN-GIVES-BACK: Continuing Our Commitment to Community

One of the most impactful community projects GIFFIN has been involved in is Operation School Bell. This initiative, organized by the Assistance League of Southeastern Michigan (ALSM), aims to provide essential items to children in need, ensuring they have the resources to succeed in school and beyond.
Operation School Bell exemplifies GIFFIN’s dedication to community engagement and its ongoing mission to support and uplift those around us. By participating in such initiatives, GIFFIN not only enhances the lives of local children but also reinforces its core values of compassion and service.
This year, in celebration of GIFFIN’s 75th anniversary, we proudly sponsored Operation School Bell once again. This initiative continues to make a significant impact by supporting local community families around the holiday season.
GIFFIN’s Involvement –
Multiple Events: GIFFIN has participated in several Operation School Bell events at local schools such as Harwood, Pontiac Owen, Nolan Elementary, and more! During these events, members and community volunteers set up a “store” where children can choose new coats, hats, gloves, tops, socks, and hygiene kits.
Significant Impact: Since 1995, Operation School Bell has positively impacted over 54,000 lives through clothing distributions. In recent years, GIFFIN’s efforts have contributed to this success, with thousands of children benefiting from the program.
Fundraising Success: In 2023, GIFFIN surpassed its fundraising goals, raising a total of $26,278 for the Operation School Bell program. This achievement was made possible through various activities, team events, and a generous donation from the GIFFIN family. This year we added over $11,000 additional contributions. Each year sponsoring, we strive to achieve a similar level of success!
Community and Employee Impact –
Employee Engagement: Participating in Operation School Bell has boosted employee morale, fostering a sense of pride and fulfillment. It has also strengthened team cohesion as colleagues work together to support a meaningful cause.
Community Relationships: These efforts have helped build stronger relationships within the community, demonstrating GIFFINs ongoing commitment to giving back!
